NDA Registers Landmark Victory in Bihar Election 2025

The 2025 Bihar Assembly Election concluded with a sweeping mandate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which secured 202 out of 243 seats, reaffirming its strong hold over the state’s political landscape. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the leading force within the alliance with 89 seats, closely followed by its partner Janata Dal (United) [JDU] with 85 seats.
On the opposition front, the Mahagathbandhan faced a major setback, finishing with just 33 seats in total. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), once a dominant player in Bihar politics, managed to win only 25 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) secured 6 seats.
The election witnessed high voter participation and a clear tilt towards the ruling alliance’s promises of development, welfare delivery, and stability. With a renewed mandate, the NDA government is expected to accelerate its agenda on infrastructure, employment generation, and rural development, shaping Bihar’s political and economic trajectory for the years ahead.
